Writing update 11 November 2022

Hello, lovelies!

National Novel Writing Month is in full swing and I am stoked to say I have been going strong for 10 days straight. Most of the time my writing time is after my daughter goes to bed but I am committed no matter how tired I feel. I read a great pep talk which made me realise that the first draft is never going to be perfect and that the most important thing was getting the story written. I can always re-write scenes later on and spice things up a bit if I need to.

I have written over 20 000 words which in itself is an achievement for me. I didn't finish the 10-day outline but got to day 8. I have my plot outlined with a double twist in there that you would never see coming... Well, I hope not anyway!

I have introduced two of my characters on social media so far and plan to introduce at least two more before the end of the month. I might even sneak in the fifth main character for fun. Ah... creating this imaginary world is way more than my full-time job but you know... a person has bills to pay! I dream about writing all day at the back of my mind and making sure I write every night.
