More Than Just A Writer

Aloha, my fellow peeps!

First of all, a big thank you to you for signing up for my website newsletter and supporting me on this exciting adventure I am on. I am blessed and honored to share this journey with you.

I will be honest that I have not made too much progress since my book proposal submission. First, I took a short break to recoup and then I caught a bit of a cold which had me lose focus a little bit of focus while recovering.

As much as the inspiration for this journey is about publishing my book, I have realized that it is so much more than that. Just like writing the book is only about 30% of the process. There is so much more it takes to get to that initial end goal than any newbie writer could anticipate.

So here I am, in this newsletter, I am a writer but I am so many other roles as well. I am your friend as we get to know each other, I am a motivator and encourager as I love to see people live their best lives and grow into their potential, and I am a wife and mother to my husband and children. The list could go on but I am keeping it simple for now.

On the surface, it may look like I have it all together and most times I do, but at other times I am still figuring a lot out along the way. I have my days where I question life and pursuing things or feel sad and a bit lost. I wonder how I am meant to reach this big goal that was planted in my heart by the Divine. But I have come to realize that these moments pass and it helps us appreciate the good spaces. The trick is not to get stuck in that moment but to feel it, process it, and then let it go. "This too shall pass" and pass it does.

When I regain perspective, I am even more content and motivated to make those dreams come true and bring them a little closer to my present reality. I posted a TikTok video about showing up until your dreams are real and being that future self you imagine right now because the truth is you are already the person you need to be to make it happen.

So here I am, more than just a writer, more than a mother and a wife, and I plan to fully step into those roles and probably many more as the future unfolds. I am more than just my past that led me here and I am excited to share who I am with you.

So Say 'Yes' to those opportunities and Go Left when nothing seems to be going right.
