March Writing Update

Hello, Friendies!
It's been quite a month... and I am happy to share some exciting news with you.
In my previous post, I shared that I had an opportunity to submit my manuscript to a publisher. I managed to finish my second draft and submitted it to the evaluator. They scheduled an interview a week later. The interview went very well. The evaluator loved my manuscript and was going to present it to the publication panel that night in her next meeting.
I was beyond excited! The next day I got a publishing proposal contract in my inbox. It all seemed a bit surreal but real it was. I did my due diligence and research and signed the contract with them. A dream coming true, slowly but surely. All good things take time and happen at the right time.
I am waiting for the production manager to contact me so that we can get the project moving. Last week they were all at the London book fair and they do have a bit of planning to do on their end as well.
In the meantime, I have been working on my social media platforms and catching up on some reading. Usually, when I am writing, reading takes a bit of a backseat. I have been considering picking up my fictional novel project while I wait for my memoir to get rolling, but also enjoying the little break at the same time.
Anyway, this was just a quick check-in to keep you in the loop!
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
Much love,
