A Little Big Crazy Adventure

Hiya, friends!

You know, when life gets too much... sometimes you just need a crazy adventure to put things in perspective again. 2017 had been a year and then some. I had highs and lows and learned to let a lot of stuff go. I can't remember how I came across the idea but I decided to book myself a one-way ticket to Chiang Mai and to backpack my way back home, 7 cities... 11 days!
I was going to do this one way or another. A friend decided to join me for the trip but love unrequited was never gonna work out, we ended up having a big fall out in Bangkok but that is a story for another day. It was traumatic but also one of the best things that could have happened on my trip.

The freedom that I found along the way was life-changing and my Thai ability improved dramatically as I had to communicate the best I could with the local Thai people. It was the type of adventure that my soul craved and one that I will talk about for the rest of my life. It was a trip that I will always be proud of and one of the best achievements in my life. People still look at me like I am crazy when I share the story and have a goofy grin on my face.
It wasn't all fun and games though. I had at least one terrible minivan experience, booked into one dodgy hotel, and had the worst

experience in Phuket that I hope to never re-live again. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... Sometimes I wondered how strong God wanted me to be! I definitely figured out the type of people I didn't want to hang out with but I also made some of the most amazing friends along the way.
It's moments like these that make life memorable, help me stay positive, and remember that there is so much more to life than whatever your current situation is.
Love
